The most valuable LEGO Star Wars minifigures fall into two groups: figures you couldn’t buy in a shop at all, like prizes, giveaways, employee gifts and the ones LEGO slipped into sets at random, and figures that only ever came in one set, like the 2003 Cloud City. Here are the most valuable, ranked by what they actually sell for on BrickLink, plus the handful so rare they almost never sell at all.

New, sealed examples usually sell for more: the chrome gold C-3PO’s last new sale was $3,000, for example.
1. C-3PO, chrome gold (sw0158, 2007)
For the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, LEGO made 10,000 chrome gold C-3POs and slipped them at random into its 2007 Star Wars sets in the US, each in its own white polybag. Used ones have recently sold for about $2,375, and a new one for $3,000.
2. Finch Dallow (sw1005, 2019)
Nearly a year after the 75188 Resistance Bomber came out, LEGO swapped one of its generic pilots for Finch Dallow, a pilot from The Last Jedi. That version was only sold in North America, in early 2019, which makes it far scarcer than the standard pilot. Used ones have recently sold for about $1,575.
3. Boba Fett, Cloud City (sw0107, 2003)
The Boba Fett from 10123 Cloud City, a LEGO exclusive sold from 2003 to 2005, with printed arms and legs. It’s the most valuable LEGO Boba Fett that regularly sells, at about $1,500 used. He’s on my list of every LEGO Boba Fett minifigure.
4. Yuletide Squadron Pilot (sw1070, 2019)
A pilot from 4002019 Christmas X-wing, a 2019 gift for LEGO employees that was never sold. Only a handful change hands, at around $900 to $1,100 in recent sales.
5. Darth Vader, chrome black (sw0218, 2009)
The 10th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars got its own chrome figure: 10,000 chrome black Vaders, packed at random into 2009 Star Wars sets. Recent sales average about $539 used and $653 new.
6. Shadow ARF Trooper (sw0315, 2011)
Given free with qualifying LEGO Star Wars orders at LEGO.com in May 2011. Used ones have recently sold for about $402.
7. The Cloud City figures (2003)

The same 2003 Cloud City set that gave us the most valuable Boba Fett also has two more of the most valuable figures: Luke Skywalker in his tan shirt (sw0103), at about $402, and Lando Calrissian with smooth hair (sw0105), at about $314.
8. Darth Revan (sw0547, 2014)
The Knights of the Old Republic Sith Lord, given free with qualifying LEGO Star Wars orders at LEGO.com in May 2014 and again in September 2016. Recent sales average about $334 used.
14. Boba Fett, white (sw0275, 2010)
An all-white Boba Fett given away at events in 2010. Brickipedia says 10,000 were made. Used ones average about $232, and sealed ones more.
20. Stormtrooper, chrome silver (sw0097, 2010)
A chrome silver Stormtrooper given away in promotions, including a 2010 Toys R Us offer with a LEGO purchase. Used ones average about $129, and new ones about $228.
The rarest LEGO Star Wars minifigures of all
Some figures are so rare they almost never sell, so they can’t be ranked by price:
- Solid 14-karat gold C-3PO (2007): five were made as prizes in a contest in LEGO Magazine for the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.
- Yoda with a “NY I ♥” torso (2013): given away at the 2013 New York Toy Fair and at a Star Wars event in Times Square. None sold on BrickLink in the last six months, and the one listed there was priced at $11,000.
- Solid bronze, gold and silver Boba Fetts: only a few of each were made.
Why these LEGO Star Wars minifigures are rare
- Random inserts: the chrome gold C-3PO and chrome black Vader were packed at random into ordinary sets, 10,000 of each.
- Giveaways and gifts with purchase: the Shadow ARF Trooper, Darth Revan and the white and chrome figures were free with orders or handed out at events.
- Never sold: the Yuletide Squadron Pilot was a gift for LEGO employees.
- Late or limited versions: Finch Dallow only came in the last North American run of 75188.
- One set only: figures like the Cloud City trio, Jango Fett and Watto were never made again in the same form.
Is the light-up Darth Vader worth thousands?
Probably not. The Darth Vader with a light-up lightsaber (sw0117) appears near the top of some value lists, but on BrickLink used ones have recently sold for about $65, and new ones for about $225.
How to check what your LEGO Star Wars minifigures are worth
- Find its BrickLink ID (like sw0107) by searching BrickLink’s catalog for the character and the set it came from.
- Check the price guide’s sold prices, not the asking prices, and compare new with used.
- Check it’s the right version: small differences, like Lando’s hair or Boba Fett’s printed legs, separate a $20 figure from a $300 one.
- Watch for fakes: counterfeit and custom versions of the chrome figures exist, so buy from sellers with a good record.
