Here we have the John Tyler Christopher action figure variant cover for Star Wars #61. JTC carried on the Return of the Jedi theme with R2-D2 with pop up lightsaber. Another great variant cover to add to the collection. For the first time however I am slightly disappointed. I was really hoping that John would have mixed things up a bit for the last 17 figures and created the artwork for the Power of the Force card back with the exclusive coin etc. I just think it was a missed opportunity even though I know we have never had the logos for the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
It’s still a great cover and maybe in the future (I have suggested the idea to him) he creates a one off for maybe Yak Face as this is possibly the most famous and rarest figure to come out on the Power of the Force card backs.
