Hey there LEGO Star Wars fans and collectors!
Today is a good day! For today LEGO have announced the release of the set we have all been waiting for, the LEGO Star Wars Master Builders Betrayal at Cloud City set (75222). It has been fifteen years since we last had a Cloud City LEGO set so this is welcome news!
Betrayal at Cloud City will include 2812 pieces and will retail at $399.99 in the US and £299.99 in the UK. The set will be in the style of the UCS Death Star play set but with 1 floor with 4 play areas. Each play area will centre around scenes from The Empire Strikes Back including the Carbon Freezing chamber, the dining room where Darth Vader springs his trap, a landing pad area for Bobafet’s Slave 1 Spaceship to make its getaway and what looks like the area where C-3PO gets taken apart by the Ugnaughts. There is also a small area for the Luke Vs Darth Vader showdown.
The set also comes with a Twin-Pod Cloud Car, something we haven’t had since 2002 plus 18+ minifigures including: Bespin Luke, Darth Vader, Hoth Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo in Carbonite, Ugnaught, 2 x Stormtroopers, 2 x Bespin Guards, Bespin Han Solo, Bespin Leia, Lobot, Bobafet, C-3PO and Lando Calrissian.
