Jabba’s palace is packed with gangsters, guards, dancers and musicians, and more than forty years after Return of the Jedi, Hasbro is still making figures of them. This is every character seen in Jabba’s palace in Return of the Jedi who has had a Hasbro 3.75-inch figure: who they are, what they do in the film, and the latest version of their figure. At the end are the palace characters who still haven’t had one.
It’s the companion to my Mos Eisley cantina characters page, and it’s built for anyone recreating the palace in The Vintage Collection. I reviewed the Vintage Collection Jabba the Hutt set when it came out in 2024:
Bossk’s Bounty is compensated for any purchases made through any eBay links that may appear below.
How this checklist works
- One figure per character: the latest Vintage Collection version. Where a character has never been in The Vintage Collection, it’s the latest Hasbro 3.75-inch figure from any line
- Who’s included: everyone seen inside Jabba’s palace in Return of the Jedi, including the characters added in the Special Edition, plus the skiff guards who took Luke, Han and Chewbacca to the Great Pit of Carkoon
- Who isn’t: characters seen only on the sail barge. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the droids are in, with a Return of the Jedi version of each where Hasbro has made one. Kenner’s original 1983 to 1985 figures are in my vintage Kenner figures checklist
The palace playsets
Two Vintage Collection playsets give the figures somewhere to stand.
Boba Fett’s Throne Room
Jabba’s throne room as it was after Boba Fett took the palace in The Book of Boba Fett, with the throne Bib Fortuna sat on before him. It’s the big one: a Hasbro Pulse exclusive from 2023 with 50 accessories, and it comes with a Bib Fortuna (Tatooine) figure.
Jabba’s Palace Adventure Set
A Walmart exclusive from 2019: a palace backdrop that sets up three ways, with two carded figures, VC136 Han Solo (Carbonite) and VC137 Ree-Yees. The carbonite block fixes to the palace with a magnet.

The Max Rebo Band
All twelve members of the band have Hasbro figures. Ten of them are in two Walmart exclusive sets from 2007: The Max Rebo Band: Jabba’s Palace Musicians and The Max Rebo Band: Jabba’s Palace Entertainers. The two boxes fit together to make the stage. The two drummers came out on their own. Nine of the twelve were added to the film in the 1997 Special Edition, for the “Jedi Rocks” number.

Most of the 2007 figures are repaints of these. Rappertunie wasn’t in the 1990s line; his first figure came in 2004.

Bane Malar
A bounty hunter who worked for Jabba. He was created for Return of the Jedi, but he isn’t seen in the final film. Marvel’s Jabba’s Palace comic has since put him in the palace, where he stops an attempt on Jabba’s life and exposes Jabba’s translator droid for working with a Twi’lek criminal.
- The figure: Bane Malar, The Legacy Collection, 2008 (BD7), with a blaster and a blaster rifle. His card says he visits Jabba’s palace from time to time
Bossk and Dengar
Two more bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back are at the palace with Boba Fett for Han’s rescue. Bossk has too many figures to list here, so he has his own page, every Bossk action figure. Dengar is in my Empire Strikes Back bounty hunters guide.
Palace characters that still haven’t had a figure
Dozens of background characters in the palace have never had a figure. These are some of the best known:
- Doallyn: a Geranite hunter who tries to stop Boushh and Chewbacca on the stairs and gets thrown by Chewbacca
- Beedo: a Rodian who also went with Jabba to the Millennium Falcon’s docking bay in A New Hope
- Geezum: a Snivvian in the court during “Jedi Rocks”, who later watches from the sail barge
- Yoxgit: an Ugnaught from Cloud City who ended up working for Jabba
- Wam Lufba: a Yuzzum pest exterminator, beside Jabba’s throne during “Jedi Rocks”
Where to go from here
For the barge that took Jabba’s court to the Great Pit of Carkoon, see my HasLab Jabba’s Sail Barge page. Every Vintage Collection figure here is listed in order in my Vintage Collection checklist, and if you’d rather build in bricks, here are the LEGO Jabba’s Sail Barge sets. The cantina from A New Hope gets the same treatment on my Mos Eisley cantina characters page.
