Hi Star Wars collectors! Today is a good day. Here we have The Vintage Collection Antoc Merrick’s X-Wing Fighter (Blue Leader) in hand. Full review is on my Youtube channel.
As many of you will be aware, the ship itself if a repaint of the Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing, which is a repaint of the Red 3 Biggs Darklighter X-Wing, so inherits the issue with the wing mechanism. The paint job for the Blue Leader X-Wing looks pretty movie accurate, the only shame is that we do not currently have the opportunity to buy Antoc Merrick’s Astromech droid to complete the scene.
The set does include an Antoc Merrick 3.75 inch figure on his own TVC card back. Overall its a really nice figure with all the articulation you will need. My only complaint is the helmet is on the large side, and seems to be a bit of loose fit on the figures head. The great news is the card stock for this figure seems to be much thicker than any other figure in TVC 2.0.
