The Millennium Falcon has been a toy for almost as long as it’s been a ship. Kenner’s first Falcon came out in 1979, and since then Kenner, Hasbro and others have made dozens more, from 2.5-foot-long ships for 3.75-inch figures to tiny Micro Machines.
This list has every Millennium Falcon toy we’ve found, 37 in all, with the year, the original price and what came in the box. The big 3.75-inch Falcons come first, in release order, followed by the smaller lines.
Bossk’s Bounty is compensated for any purchases made through any eBay links that may appear below.
How many Millennium Falcon toys are there?
This list counts 37 Millennium Falcon toys: 10 Falcons made for 3.75-inch figures, from Kenner’s 1979 Falcon to The Vintage Collection’s 2020 Smuggler’s Run, and 27 other Falcon toys, from a Power of the Force carrying case to Mission Fleet, Micro Machines, Micro Galaxy Squadron and Hasbro’s toys for younger fans. It doesn’t count model kits, replicas or LEGO, which has made over 30 Falcons of its own: see every LEGO Millennium Falcon.
Every 3.75-inch Millennium Falcon, in release order
These are the full-size Falcons made for 3.75-inch figures, from Kenner and then Hasbro.
Kenner Millennium Falcon (1979)
Kenner’s first Millennium Falcon reached shops in time for Christmas 1979. It was sold as the Millennium Falcon “with Battle Alert Sound”, which ran on two C batteries, and it had a rotating laser turret and a training remote hanging on a thread.
Kenner kept selling it for five years with only small changes to the toy, but the box changed several times: the Empire Strikes Back logo replaced the Star Wars one in 1980, new artwork showing Cloud City arrived in 1981, and the Return of the Jedi box of 1983 has Tatooine on the front.
The Falcon in the photo is my own, and I’ve had it since I was a child.
- Released: 1979
- Boxes: Star Wars (1979), The Empire Strikes Back (1980 and 1981) and Return of the Jedi (1983)
Power of the Force Electronic Millennium Falcon (1995)
When Kenner brought Star Wars figures back in 1995, the Falcon came with them. The Power of the Force version has electronic lights and movie sounds, and later Hasbro Falcons were built from it.
The box promises four real movie sounds, and it needed two C batteries, which weren’t included.
- Released: 1995
- Original price: $39.99
The Original Trilogy Collection Millennium Falcon (2004)
Hasbro reissued the Falcon in 2004 for The Original Trilogy Collection, using a modified version of the 1995 Power of the Force Falcon. It has electronic lights and sounds and a firing missile.
The back of the box also lists working headlights, landing gear that lowers, a rotating quad turbolaser cannon, the gaming table and a compartment hidden under the floor. The cockpit seats two figures.
The standard version came without figures. Sam’s Club sold it with a six-figure crew pack: Chewbacca, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO and R2-D2.
- Released: 2004
- Original price: $49.99
The Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon (2008)
In 2008 Hasbro made a brand new Falcon, much bigger than the earlier ones, which collectors call the “Big Falcon”. It’s more than two and a half feet long, with light-up headlights, electronic engine and cannon sounds, and a light-up cockpit that holds four figures. It came with Han Solo and Chewbacca.
- Released: 2008
- Original price: $179.99
- Size: More than 2.5 feet long
The Vintage Collection Millennium Falcon (2012)
The first Vintage Collection Falcon was a Toys R Us exclusive in 2012. It’s now one of the most valuable Vintage Collection vehicles, and it’s in the Vintage Collection vehicles checklist. This is essentially a repack of the Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon.
- Released: 2012
- Original price: $249.99
- Sold at: Toys R Us (exclusive)
Hero Series Millennium Falcon (2014)
The Hero Series Falcon was a Walmart exclusive from November 2014. It’s over two feet long, with a rotating radar dish and a moving cannon, and it cost far less than the Big Falcon.
- Released: 2014
- Original price: about $59.99
- Sold at: Walmart (exclusive)
The Force Awakens Battle Action Millennium Falcon (2015)
For The Force Awakens, Hasbro made the Battle Action Falcon, with a pop-up Nerf launcher, lights, motion-activated sound effects and a fold-out playset. It came with Chewbacca, Finn (Jakku) and BB-8.
- Released: 2015
- Original price: $139.99
- Figures: Chewbacca, Finn (Jakku) and BB-8
Force Link 2.0 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (2018)
The Solo: A Star Wars Story Falcon came with an exclusive Han Solo figure and a removable escape craft, and it works with Hasbro’s Force Link 2.0 sound system.
Hasbro gave it flashing lights and sounds, and a hyperdrive button that makes the ship vibrate. Some of the hull panels pop off, and the three AA batteries came in the box.
- Released: 2018
- Original price: $99.99
- Figures: Han Solo
Force Link 2.0 Millennium Falcon with Escape Craft (2018)
Solo also had a second, cheaper Force Link 2.0 Falcon, and it’s easy to mix up with the Kessel Run one. This version came without a figure. It has a port that launches its escape craft, and it plays flying and battle sounds when you pick it up wearing the Force Link 2.0 band, which was sold separately.
- Released: 2018
- Original price: $29.99
- Figures: None
The Vintage Collection Galaxy’s Edge Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run (2020)
The Smuggler’s Run Falcon is the Galaxy’s Edge version, modelled on the full-size Falcon at the Disney parks rather than one from the films. It was sold at Target and at the Disney parks. Like the 2012 Falcon, it now sells for well over its original price: see the most valuable Vintage Collection figures and vehicles. This is once again the Legacy Falcon repacked, but this time there is an interchangeable Dish, allowing you to create the Falcon from either the Original or Sequel trilogy. It also included updated sounds.
The photo is of my own Smuggler’s Run Falcon.
- Released: 2020
- Original price: $399.99
- Sold at: Target and the Disney parks

Which Millennium Falcon toy is the biggest?
Of the Falcons with official measurements, the 2008 Legacy Collection Falcon is the biggest, at more than two and a half feet long. The 2014 Hero Series Falcon is over two feet long.
Which Millennium Falcon toys are worth the most?
The two Vintage Collection Falcons have both gone up in value since they were sold new. The 2012 Toys R Us Falcon, which cost $249.99, and the 2020 Smuggler’s Run, which cost $399.99, both sell for around $800 in recent eBay sales: see the most valuable Vintage Collection figures and vehicles. For vintage Kenner Falcons, a complete Falcon in its box sells for far more than a loose one with missing parts.
